Tomorrow is the anniversary of our Con's parting. It's hard to believe that it's been a year.
I miss her now, and always.

On Friday, 9th September, we laid Gran to rest in Farnworth, with her beloved Mammy and Daddy, and Brother Frank.
What a lovely day. Dads brother, and my godfather, John, put on a beautiful mini-service, with a reading from Psalm 129, and even Mozart via an iPod.
We lit another lantern to see her on her way. This was emblazoned with the Cross of St George, which I can't help feeling she'd have laughed about. The lantern soared over Farnworth, and I felt a sense that she was soaring too.
Mummy read a poem, The Dash, with help from Louise and I, and then we all had lunch together.
Rest easy, Gran. We love you.

At rest with the family 9th September 2011
Mothers Day was on Sunday. Louise and I took Mum for High Tea at the Rubens at the Palace, just around the corner from "Buck House". Seemed fitting, as Mum always used to take Gran for tea. Check the gallery for a photo!
What a beautiful day. Lovely food, lovely company, and Gran came too.. Kind of!
She'd have loved it.
